The title of this picture is explained pictorally with
Peter on the tractor reading an "Encyclopedia of Gardening"
researching what they should do as a team to nurture the
plants growth, therefore showing the diligence and
application needed to grow plants over a period of time.
Hannah is watering the runner beans which are intertwined
with sweet peas (which they actually did grow! detail
left). You would never guess that Hannah's nickname was
Pink would you!
It is great to see the joys of God's creation (yes that is
CREATION, not evolution) growing around you and to actually
eat the beans that they grew was really tasty! To see year
in year out the beauty that God has put into every living
plant, flower, bee or fearfully and wonderfully made human
and how we all intertwine is amazing. But we need to plan
but those plans can change depending on circumstances. For
all our planning we can't second guess God's sovereignty
and sometimes life around us can be very hard. Famines
happen, disasters happen, accidents happen. But we can rest
in the fact that until Jesus returns God has promised to
let the seasons happen (even though they may not happen
exactly as we think they should).
